The Administration imposed on the CFMEU by Anthony Albanese’s Labor government is an appalling act of union busting.

The attack is aimed squarely at weakening one of the country’s strongest unions and ending militant unionism in the construction industry.

The CFMEU has been one of the few unions willing to challenge Australia’s anti-strike laws, some of the worst in the developed world, in order to stand up for safety, conditions and wages across the industry.

With the failure of the High Court challenge to Administration, we can now expect the Administrator to move to tighten his grip on the union.

There is an urgent need for a strategy to fight Administration.
